Having known about this problem for a few years now, and why I didn’t write about it earlier still beats me. It may be because I was one of the people I’m about to discuss, which really just came to light after talking to one of my students.

Yesterday one of my students called me and asked me a “how to” question. The question was about a program he had just purchased to help him get through something he was having a challenge with.

Well, I had no clue about this piece of software and no way to help him. So the next day I called him to ask him how he was doing and he said he had spent the whole night trying to figure this program out and he still could not figure it out. He had spent a few hundred bucks and more than 20 hours with zero results.

I gotta say, that kinda pissed me off because I had given him some homework to do and instead he had spent hours trying to figure out some new piece of software?

I asked him why he purchased this aforementioned software. His reply was that he was struggling with the subject and the homework I had assigned him. He said he got an e-mail about this software which would eliminate the need for what I had asked him to do. Basically he chose to take a short cut. Plain and simple.

Ok so he tried to take a short cut like 99% of us do at some point when we don’t see the results we hoped for. I myself did the same thing years back.

Well, a few years back, I had gotten involved with an online marketing company which cost me a few thousands of dollars. When I look back at it today I want to kick myself. What the heck was I thinking?

I truly had no business jumping in that deep when at the time I hardly even knew how to use Microsoft word let alone trying to build a business online. Well after thousands of hours, thousand of dollars, hundreds of e-books and many conventions & seminars – with zero results, I finally woke up and realized what I was doing wrong.

What I realized was I did not even know the basics. I had not even started working on building my foundation. No matter what I purchased I was always going to fall over, because I had no foundation. It was that simple.

The next day I went into my office and wiped my desktop clean of all programs, e-books,etc and started out with the very basics and made sure I mastered the basics until I became a Pro.

I became very good at the basics such that people would call me on my phone asking for help; which I was always able to give them. Simply put, I mastered a few skills, all while using free software programs and eventually I started making money. It didn’t happen overnight but it did and only because I stopped looking for shortcuts and decided to actually learn the skills I needed to learn instead of expecting some computer software to solve all the problems for me.

At the end of the day whether you are newbie or a veteran in the MLM business, online marketing business or even a network marketing company, the simple truth is there is no magic pill. It takes effort just like in any other job. The only difference is, if you are willing to put in the time and the effort to learn and work hard, you will reap bigger rewards than any job could ever pay you.

If you draw out the organization chart of Mc Donald’s what shape do you come up with. A Pyramid. If you draw out the organization chart of the Government what shape do you come up with? A Pyramid. If you draw out the organization of a Church what shape do you come up with. A Pyramid.

Actually almost all business structures look like Pyramids.

So can you really make money in a network marketing opportunity?

Were do I start. Three calls this week so far and I am done listening to the same old crap, over and over again.

You probably think what is he talking about. Well you see for the past few months I have been spending some time working my way undercover into taking a look at what other network marketing companies are doing. Checking to see what strategies they are using to recruit, seeing what they do different to the competition.

I never signed up to any of them as I have been with one for a while and am very happy with them, but this is not about who is better or not.

What this is about is the fact that they all are preaching the same BS. After been in this industry for over 20 years now and hearing it over and over again
the other night I had to shoot this video below as I was tiered and mad. The thing that gets me the most are the individuals who fall victim to this BS.

So What BS am I talking about. Very simply the so called System. Your see every one of these Network Marketing, Direct Marketing and lets not forget the MLM Industry have a system.
A simple system that will get you to the top in no time. Yes it is very simple…on paper. But in reality not so much.

Lets hear it… 1st. Make a list of friends,family and business associates. 2nd Call all of them asap. 3rd Get them on a call with your upline. 4th Take them to your next meeting. 5th Give them a sip of the jungle juice. 6th Give the information to your upline sponsor he will take care of you.(Yeah Right) 7th Buy the fast track bonus package. 8th Purchase the corporate getaway package only $15 000

Does this sound familiar…hell yeah. They all have there own version of the system and compensation plan.

Look if you are new to this industry, tread lightly and do not screw your list up. Most people only have around 20 to 30 people in there list or at least people that might listen. If you screw it with them and don’t make it big time, you can say adios.

The thing I want people to realize is most of these guys and girls who are making it and break all of these records came into the business with a big list well should say most. Some, but few have no list and do make it. Once they get close to the top all the newbies are doing whatever he or she says to do, meanwhile they do nothing. Basically the newbie is following the system and struggling and looses steam very quickly.

I see it and hear it everyday and cannot believe that those that have made it will never admit it. Instead they swear it was or is the system. Follow the system.

The truth is you need a good quality list, not a bought list, but a list you have created and built over time. You will know within your list who would be best suited for which ever opportunity you would like to present.

My final thought..The System is a load of BS

Many people out there have no clue how to use Facebook. When I say this I mean specifically the individual who have just started a new home based business, mlm, or network marketing business opportunity. The most popular thing I see is how they slam the new opportunity all over the free social media networks..No wander they fail.. Right..Well if you are a more advanced social media person and have not practiced the above..well done.

I myself like many, have separated my personal friends and business friends into different accounts and categories. Why you may ask  ..well creating more than one account allows you to place those friends of your into specific categories… such as what they like and dislike. .. A good example..a friend of mine Bob who I know hates sales pitches,marketing, TV commercials,etc is not the kinda person who I want to pitch an ad promoting some crap on his facebook page that he has no interest in. But I do know what he likes so I have placed him into that category that tailors to his interests.

This is what I have learned. If you go about creating numerous account with specific markets you will have a way better chance of generating great result and friendships

One of my opportunities actually requires me to do some calling and one of the hardest things is getting the numbers and knowing who you are calling. But I figured a neat trick using Facebook to make my life so much easier.

If you are in the industry of doing phone call’s(Tel marketing) to your prospect then the video below will show you a neat little trick from your contact list on how to get there numbers.

When in your Facebook account, go to the top right corner and under accounts click on (Edit Friends). A new window will open and on the right you want to click on (Contacts). Now you have access to everyone in that accounts phone number.

Now before you call them, click on there profile to refresh your knowledge on that person. You can see what there interests are, what business, were they live, etc

I have found this to be a very useful tool, but please don’t use what i am showing you to solicit-ate everyone, but rather go through your list of contacts and make sure that their profile meets with the opportunity you want to present to them.

I hope this is a useful tip for those of you who use phone lists.
